Useful things to do while you wait.

Two quick checks of your own, condition questionnaires your practitioner can use from day one, and support from the UK charities that know your condition best.

PhysioNearby Checks

Two-minute checks, done at home

Simple baselines you can repeat later to see whether things are moving. They are a starting point for a conversation, and not a diagnosis.

Reaction time check

Tap the pad the moment it turns green, five times over. Reaction speed is one of the things that changes with fatigue, pain and recovery, so it is worth a baseline.

Balance & step check

A guided standing-balance test scored against your daily step count, so your practitioner can see how steady you are alongside how much you actually move.

1

Three timed stands: feet together, semi-tandem, then single leg.

2

Your typical daily steps, typed in or read from your phone's health app.

3

A single steadiness score you can repeat monthly to track progress.

Until this is live, your practitioner runs the same balance tests with you in person at the first session.

These checks are for your own interest and to give your practitioner a starting point. If you feel unsteady, in pain, or unwell, stop and speak to your GP or call 111.

Condition Questionnaires

Score your condition before session one

These are the standard questionnaires UK physiotherapists use to measure how a condition affects daily life, and to show whether treatment is working.

Want one of these now?
